Movies

I went to the movies tonight with my brother. We saw King Kong. I think Public Enemy said it best, Don't Believe the Hype. I found it long and uninteresting. I did not like Jack Black I really don't like his style. Then Naomi Watts is very pretty but I think that Peter Jackson focused on the wrong features. I thought Adrian Brody did a very good job though. The other problem was the over use of CGI it was just bam dinosaurs, bam Kong, bam crabs, bam more dinosaurs, bam bats, bam bam bam.

Worse yet were the previews. I heard my favorite song "Ball and Chain" used for a Vince Vaughn Jennifer Anniston movie, this greatly saddened me. Then I saw that Tom Hanks is starring in the Da Vinci Code movie, which is bad since I hate Tom Hanks.

Straight Edge

Straight Edge - no drugs, no sex, no alcohol

What is it about the ideas of straight edge that interest me? Maybe it is the fact that originally it was a way to simplify your life. It was originally started because people were taking so many drugs that they could no longer remember things like meting Jimi Hendrix. Maybe its the radical politics that it preaches. Maybe its just the music. Probably its a combination of all three and my new found dislike for drinking and drugs.

Now I am not going to claim to be edge for life or go hardline or anything like that. I just think that it is a better idea than most people give it credit for.

Top 5 Songs
Minor Threat - straight Edge
gorilla biscuits - Start today
7 seconds - Walk together, Rock Together
Rise Against - A life Less Frightening
Refused - New Noise

all by bands with straight edge members or straight Edge groups

Random stuff

I didn't go to the football game sorry guys

I had to stay home and rest so I can take the SAT tomorrow and recover from basketball

Good Luck Team

In other news, today in AP Gov we talked about the upcoming special election for congressman Cox seat. This is not at all interesting to me since I live in a different district and really I have no say since I am too young to vote and it is outside my district. I seriously doubt that the candidates I want will be elected since they are: Democrat and Green party respectively. Thus I just sorta sit there and attempt to participate with the mild interest I have. Yet I couldn't help but be intrigued by Jim Gilchrist. I can't describe what I think about him so here's the link with all candidates

Next topic something that you all want to read about:

PAUL WALKER
